OR test your elastic waistband on the ultimate Berlin food tour. We’re talking the best kebabs, pastries, currywurst, pierogi and local Pilsner in town. This is Berlin done right. Appreciated my tour guide Luigi and driver Emiliano. I was aware of how thoughtfully they managed to keep me safe and engaged.
He educated us on things that were not written on the tourism websites or could be researched easily. The whole group was fascinated at everything Otmar had to say. Flights, tours, hotels, etc., all went well for us. We want to give special accolades to Otmar for calming my husband when he left his fanny pack on a restaurant seat on a day trip to Italy (and didn’t discover it till we were back in Switzerland).
If I needed help everyone was more than happy to assist. They took me under their wings and it was appreciated. Susie, our tour guide, and Steve, our driver were the best! Can’t say enough good things about them. I am used to travelling independently and was a bit unsure about group travel. I was pleasantly surprised and would not hesitate to do it again with Gate 1.

She was so knowledgeable about the culture and places we saw, and she really helped make the trip so enjoyable. We stayed at lovely hotels and had a wonderful itinerary that allowed us to see and do so many things. Although I’ve been to Switzerland many times before, this was my first tour. I would definitely consider going on another tour with Gate 1.
Although the hotels are fine I was disappointed in their location. They were not close to the historic center. I was not informed of the hotel’s change in Berlin. This caused us concern and inconvenience, as we had planned our day around the hotel’s location.
